Hailing from Western Pennsylvania, Bob has been playing drums for most of his life. At age 9 he began studying rudiments and practicing snare technique and a few years later received his first kit - a gold sparkle Ludwig Keystone-badge 4 piece. At age 12 he began performing live in his Father's trio and has been performing ever since. Bob studied with jazz instructor Randy Roth for the next 6 years, reading charts and working on everything from beebop to latin to rock.

At age 15 Bob went on to audition and land a gig as the drummer for the popular wedding band "The Jentz Band", where he remained for the next 3 years. Throughout this time period Bob was also filling in as a hired gun for various local acts as well as performing as the top set player in the school Jazz and Stage bands and the lead snare in concert and marching bands. While set playing is his favorite, Bob credits his snare experience in these settings as invaluable to building his technique. Bob then moved on to play in several hard rock outfits including "XL" and "Avalanche". These bands were very heavy and typical for the time. They fed his appetite for playing larger rooms while enabling him to develop the showmanship aspect of his performance.

Following this Bob spent several years concentrating on recording work for various home studio projects. This was another critical area of skill development, further honing his creativity and listening skills while routinely working with a click track and many different musicians in a non-band setting.

Bob discovered Generals Krank in 2007 and found it to be a perfect blend of professionalism and musicianship with a set list that fits his personality perfectly. His background brings an entertaining skillset to the hard hitting rock environment that is Generals Krank. Bob cites Ringo Starr, Mitch Mitchell, John Bonham, John Densmore, Stephen Perkins and Gene Krupa as his major influences.
